Since winter semester 2022/23, there are separate master programs in information systems, which are offered at the universities of Stuttgart and Hohenheim. Dear International Prospective Students,

if you are interested in studying the masters' program in Information Systems at the Universities of Hohenheim & Stuttgart please have a look at the information provided here. If you have further questions, feel free to pose questions to the student counselors office.

The Master of Science in Information Systems (also referred to as Business Informatics) is a cooperative course of studies held by the University of Hohenheim and the University of Stuttgart, both located in Stuttgart. However, applications have to be sent to the University of Hohenheim only, since all administrative tasks are performed there.
The majority of lectures will be held in German, with some lectures being held in English.
Therefore certain certificates of German and English language proficiency have to be handed in with your application documents.


To be applicable for the masters course a

  • Bachelors' degree in Information Systems,
  • Degree in Business Administration (with at least 15% contents in Computer Science) or
  • Degree in Computer Science (with at least 15% contents in Business Administration)

is necessary.
